10.2.1 – Hands on – Tools & Setup

WHAT THIS LESSON CONTAINS:

• 0.6mm Crochet Hook (required)
We will be alternating between this hook and the thread pick.

• 0.5mm (optional)
If you buy the 3 pack (single, double, and triple hook pack) you won’t need an additional 0.5mm hook. This certainly isn’t necessary. However it’s great to have as a backup.

• Thread Pic Crochet Hook (required)
Our primary tool.

• Latch Hook
In this course we will be showing you how to effectively use the latch hook to combine dreadlocks. The principles you learn with the latch hook can be applied to various other scenarios with dreadlocks as well.

• Scissors
You might need some scissors to trim hair occasionally.

• Comb
You’ll need a comb to make additional straight hair extensions to practice with.

• Extension Holder
You might also need the extension holder to create new extensions to practice with.

• Additional Extensions
You’ll need several extensions to practice combining. Enroll and follow courses 2-5 for the full process of making new extensions to practice with.

• Mannequin Head
If you’re willing to sacrifice a mannequin head, you can create dreadlocks in the mannequin head that will be combined. Enroll and follow the course before doing this.
