• Afro Hair
Typical Afro Hair is usually the best to work with, however it really comes down to how loose or tight the dreadlocks are.
• Soft and Fine Hair (any texture)
Tends to be more malleable, can also be more damage prone – but when adding extra hair it can be challenging to find hair that matches in texture.
• Thick and Coarse Straight Hair
Can be very difficult – probably want to avoid it if mature.
• Age changes everything
Everything is on a case by case basis and just like I state several times throughout this course – the malleability of the dreadlock is the most important factor.
