7.2.1 – Tools & Setup

WHAT THIS LESSON CONTAINS:

• 0.6mm Crochet Hook (required)
This will be the hook you start out with.

• 0.5mm (optional)
If you buy the 3 pack (single, double, and triple hook pack) you won’t need an additional 0.5mm hook. This certainly isn’t necessary. However it’s great to have as a backup.

• Thread Pic Crochet Hook (required)
Our primary tool – this hook is sharper and more precise, therefore we don’t start training with it immediately. On the other hand, it is easier to pull the hook through the dreadlock, so it can be easier for the trainee to be more effective with this hook when starting out.

• At least one Afro Extension and a one Straight Hair extension
Assuming you’ve taken Course #5 – Instant Locs Crochet Method course, you should have some extra dreadlock extensions on hand or at least the ability to create new ones. We’ll be using these for training on how to close the tips properly.
