• This method works with any hair Texture
Just to be clear, this method has proven to be effective in ALL hair types. Everything from Asian Hair to Afro Hair. Some hair types are far more stubborn than others, and may require extra work. But at the end of the day this method truly does work in all types of hair.
• Extremely Coarse (not kinky) Italian or Middle Eastern Hair
This type of hair tends to be quite stubborn to pull in. It might require two sessions spread out a month apart to get the desired hold.
• Comb Coils in Afro Hair
Comb Coils in Afro Hair tends to be a bit annoying in most cases, especially when paired with residual product. In this case, it’s best to thoroughly wash the tip of the dreadlock with a stripping shampoo only and then do the crochet work to pull it all in.
• Fine Straight Hair and Kinky Afro Hair are Easiest
These two types of hair tend to be much easier to work with. Finer hair textures seem to take shape more easily than its coarser counterpart. And Kinky Afro Hair tends to lock up extremely easily, especially when the hair is healthy. Very soft and fine Afro Hair on the other hand, will likely be a bit more stubborn.
• Stubbornness vs. Ease
As you can see, every hair type will be different, and any slippery product will increase stubbornness and decrease effectiveness. But all hair types can be closed up at the ends. It will simply require more time and effort for more stubborn tips.
