Scheduling In Advance

– If you are more than 20 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled out of respect for the next client and the person who booked you.

We’ve seen this happen regardless of the method being used, and even with freeform dreadlocks, however palm twisting seems to make this problem worse. Therefore, as some of the hair grows longer and not others, the dreadlocks have less and less hair to support the roots, resulting in a thinning of the dreadlock roots while still appearing to have a full head of hair.

Elevated stress levels can disrupt the hair growth cycle by triggering hormonal responses, particularly the release of cortisol, the “stress hormone.” This disruption can lead to premature hair shedding and thinning, which may become especially noticeable within dreadlocks. Additionally, the hormonal imbalances induced by stress can affect the distribution of nutrients to hair follicles, potentially impairing their ability to grow and maintain healthy hair. As a result, ongoing stress can contribute significantly to the thinning of dreadlock roots.

– A non-refundable down payment is required for every single appointment. No exceptions.

– Most down payments start at $50 but may range much higher depending on the amount of time we have to reserve for your appointment.

– This amount contributes toward your total bill and is not an extra expense.

– Appointments are NOT confirmed until down payment is received.

– Down payments are required a minimum of 3 days before your appointment.

Scheduling In Advance

We do not book “same day appointments” – therefore appointments must be set in advance. If you contact us with the expectation of a same day or last minute booking we will likely decline your request and book you for a later date.

Late Policy

– If you are more than 20 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled out of respect for the next client and the person who booked you.

– In some cases we can accommodate late appointments, but it should not be expected.

– In the event of a reschedule you will forfeit the down payment for that appointment, and a new down payment will be required to book your next appointment.

Repeated No-Show Policy

If you miss your appointment twice, or are excessively late twice, we reserve the right to increase your down payment requirements or outright refuse booking future appointments with you.
